ASHQELON
In our opinion this charming city, 65 km. south of Tel Aviv, is
pre-eminent among the beach resorts along the Mediterranean coast. It offers a
variety of attractions, notably a sprawling park with camping site and picnic area
adjacent to the sea, long stretches of clean beaches, sports facilities,
nightclubs, pubs and many historic sites. Organized tours of the surroundings
are also available during summer months.
