Tel Aviv is a wonderful centre for both local and international goods.
Main shopping centres and stores include Dizengoff Centre at Dizengoff Square,
Gan Ha'ir on Ibn Gvirol St., and the Canion Ayalon in Ramat Gan, which are all
modern malls Kikar Hamedina (State Square) for elegant, expensive boutiques and
stores in the Dizengoff, Ben Yehuda, Allenby and Ibn Gvirol areas.
Markets include the large and colourful Carmel (Shuk Ha-Carmel) market
for fruit, vegetables, clothing and sun-dries off Allenby Road. The Bezalel
market near the corner of King George and Allenby is worth a visit. The Nahalat
Binyamin pedestrian mall comprises a colorful bazaar where street performances
are held. The Flea Market (Shuk Ha-Pishpishim) in Jaffa is good for copper,
leather, furniture and just plain junk.
